HALLWALLS is currently accepting proposals from visual artists for temporary, one-night installations to be a featured element of SHOWOFFS, the 2012 incarnation of the venerable Artists & Models Affair.
Only a limited number of installations will be included so preference will be given to the dynamic, the compelling, the arresting, the creatively deranged, and the thematically apt.
It's not like we have discouraged artists from showing off in the past—quite the contrary. But this year's event will take place in the former Pierce Arrow auto showroom at 1685 Elmwood Avenue (at Great Arrow Drive) on Saturday, September 29, 2012.
It's a big sexy space and we are looking for your big, sexy proposals. If there were ever an occasion to realize your inflated sense of self, this is it. We would like to hear what you want to show off and how you plan to do it.
You may have heard this before but it's still true—A&M represents a location, a state of being, a condition, an apparition, a temporary psychosis, an inevitably, a breeding ground for frivolity.
