NEW DOCUMENTARY film SERIES
September 24 - October 21, 2004

Hallwalls is pleased to be collaborating again with the Market Arcade Film & Arts Center (MAFAC) to screen a series of five provocative feature films, all produced since 2003. Spurred on by director Michael Moore’s film FAHRENHEIT 9/11, interest in the feature documentary film form has exploded. Positioned in the cinema screening room, documentaries are (once again) accepted as serious sources of political information, catalysts for meaningful debate and deep cultural critique, as well as a viable form of entertainment. The films included in this series touch on all of these possibilities and guest speakers, such as Michael Niman and Bruce Jackson, will introduce selected films to reinvigorate the movie theatre as a place for meaningful discussion, debate, and collective experience. For more information on the films in this series, please write to Joanna@hallwalls.org.

As with ALL screenings for ALL films at MAFAC, Hallwalls members receive discounted ticket rates. Please remember to bring your Membership card with you when visiting MAFAC. If you are not yet a Hallwalls member, you can join now.
