Jason Seeley is a visual artist working in painting and installation. His work investigates the psychology of survival within contemporary society, and the continuously contradicting battle between liberation and repression, that exists as a mode of being that we all have in common.
 

Esperanza Mayobre
Nada se trata de nada todo se trata de mucho

Esperanza Mayobre creates stories that question problems that in the most part have no answers. The themes that she explores have been those that we generally do not want to talk about. Through narratives of sickness, death, birth, poverty, debt and immigration, among other subjects, she employs a variety of visual formats. Creating works from disparate elements that reflect the compartmentalization and varied nature of our lives.

echo Art Fair Accepting Submissions

The submission process for echo Art Fair, Buffalo's juried contemporary art fair, is at the halfway point. echo is open to local, regional and international fine artists, and the exposition comprises the fine art fair and a site specific component, which Hallwalls is coordinating.

The deadline for both aspects of the fair is May 17th (Midnight EST). Information on the submission process can be found on echo's website.

echo Art Fair was founded and launched in 2011 and, in under two years, has evolved to be one of the region's most notable fine art events; the fair grew from a one-day event, in 2011—drawing more than 3,000 visitors—to a full weekend of events, in 2012—which was attended by a crowd of more than 10,000.
