GENDER OUTLAWS AND JODIE FOSTER: Film screening including Shinjuku Boys (Kim Longinotto and Jano Williams, Australia, 1995, 54min, 16mm); documentary about Transgender Activist Leslie Feinberg, OUTLAW (Alisa Lebow, USA, 1994, 26min, video); JODIE (Pratibha Parmar, UK, 1996, 26min, Video).  Shinjuku Boys is a portrait of three Japanese drag kings or 'onnabe' Gaish, Tatsu, and Kazuki who work as male hosts for women clients at the Club Marilyn in Tokyo. Jodie explores the iconic status of Jodie Foster through an examination of the different ways lesbians in the US and the UK have repeatedly claimed her as an idol.
