A Private World of John McGahern (60 min., 2005).
Directed by Pat Collins. Documentary about the great Irish writer John McGahern, who died on March 30 of this year. Winner, Best Documentary, Celtic Film Festival 2006, Irish Film Academy, 2006.

8:00 pm:
Introduction by Allen Shelton & Laurence Shine and screening of
A Rocky Road to Dublin
(70 min., 1968).
Directed by Peter Lennon, cinematography by Raoul Coutard. Classic documentary about Ireland in the 1960s. "One of the most beautiful documentaries the cinema has given us" (Cahiers du Cinema). "A documentary like no other...tender and sarcastic. Astonishing!" (Paris Match).
