THE END OF UNPLEASANT TIMES (KRAJ DOBA NEPRIJATNOSTI) Film by Pjer Zalica
Zaim, an old man, lives abandoned and alone in the world and he wants to change his situation. He falls for his neighbour Munevera. Munevera, however, shows no interest at all. There is, however, someone who does.
This is filmmaker's thesis film for graduation from the Academy for Performing Arts, Sarajevo. This is a portrait of life in Sarajevo today. In a country where the majority lives under the poverty line, it is quite easy to find men who are desperate enough to risk their lives for money.
Are everyone's 10 minutes the same? Compare yours to those of people caught up in a war. Year, 1994: Rome and Sarajevo. What very different things can happen in two different places within the same ten minutes?
