11:30 a.m. - The Foundation of Criminal Excellence (Oskars Rupenheits, 126 minutes, Latvia, 2018)
BIFF GLOBAL: International Narratives. NY Premiere. A screenwriter working on a script about con artists influences his friend who becomes entangled in a real-world schism in Oskars Rupenheits' playful 1980s-period Latvian comedy.

Candyland (Taylor Bracewell, 12 minutes, USA, 2018)
Two hard-edged candy company representatives make a nighttime stop at a backwoods grocer, and things quickly turn from sweet to sour in this witty, dark comedy.

2:00 p.m. - About A Donkey (Christina Raia, 77 minutes, USA, 2018)
NY Premiere. Three adult siblings reunite at their childhood home to help their struggling parents and each other in Christina Raia's touching family drama.

The Liberty (Jill Sachs, 22 minutes, USA, 2018)
A woman struggles to uphold the dream of her idealistic father on the eve of the "Grand Reopening" of the family's shuttered movie palace.

4:15 p.m. - Pet Names (Carol Brandt, 75 minutes, USA, 2018)
