John Oswald
AUDITORNADA (sanctuary)
Asbury Hall, Babeville
A Hallwalls Artists-In-Residence Project (HARP)
Asbury Hall, in the building we now know as "Babeville," was previously the sanctuary of the Asbury-Delaware United Methodist Church. The church was constructed in two phases between 1871 and 1876 and is a distinct example of High Victorian Gothic ecclesiastical architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
A choir made up of musicians from the Buffalo community will perform AUDITORNADA by John Oswald in Asbury Hall, in collaboration with members of The Element Choir from Toronto and a church organist.
Hallwalls Music Program is made possible through public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a state agency and a grant from the Cullen Foundation.
