David Jonathan & the Inner City Bedlam featuring Chuckie Campbell and Curtis Lovell

Doors at 8:00 pm, concert at 9:00 pm

Ticket holders who have been vaccinated and have the NYS Excelsior Pass either as a printed card or on the mobile app will not be required to wear a face mask and may sit in general seating. All other ticket holders will be required to wear a mask and will be seated in a socially-distanced area.

We will be checking Excelsior passes at the door by scanning the QR codes on the printed cards or on the mobile app. Ticket holders will need to have their Excelsior passes with them when entering the concert, and also be able to show some form of identification — driver's license, passport, or other official photo identification.

Please note that you cannot use the CDC vaccination record you received at the time of your vaccination as a substitute for the Excelsior pass. We will only be accepting the NYS Excelsior pass with the scannable QR code.

It is very easy to get an Excelsior Pass, and it is free of cost. Please visit epass.ny.gov/home to begin the process.

David Jonathan, the boundary-breaking drummer, vocalist, and bandleader, is eager to let the world hear, see, and experience his newest single live in concert. Along with his ensemble, "The Inner City Bedlam", the performance will feature vocalist Curtis Lovell and hip-hop artist Chuckie Campbell, both headliners in their own right. The recently-released track No Collusion from his debut album garnered more than 100,000 views within the first few weeks of its release. His latest, entitled White Privilege, takes a candid look at a centuries-old system that David Jonathan openly acknowledges through the title 400, a direct reference to the 400-plus year history of the trans-Atlantic enslavement period. According to David J, we are living in its aftermath. In the wake of countless incidents of excessive force and police brutality disproportionately faced by People of Color, he sees music as a healing agent.

Alongside his commitment to social justice and reform, he is one of the most respected and technical drummers of his generation. His articulation and attention to detail have allowed him to adapt to many genres of music, from rock, pop, jazz, and R&B, to country, folk, blues, and gospel. He has been playing the drums since age 4, and gigging since age 8.

Having logged countless hours in the studio for various projects and with numerous groups, he has played for Carnival Cruiselines, Disney, Marcus Miller, Critt's Juke Joint, the Walter Kemp 3oh, The Michael Jackson Tribute Tour 2010, The Black Eyed Peas, T.I., Kendrick Lamar, The Christopher Hopper Band, Grammy Award nominee Eric Roberson, Siri Music Group artist Meisa, Philicia Collins of The David Letterman Show, B3 jazz organ great Lonnie Smith, Tommy Z, Bobby Jones of BET, Joseph Wooten, and others, while boasting a host of current endorsements.

The .9 Mile Collaborative is made possible by a major Collaborative Opportunities grant from The Cullen Foundation.
