Lance Olsen is author of over a dozen books of and about postmodern fiction, including the novel Girl Imagined by Chance, the short story collection Hideous Beauties, and A Reader’s Guide to William Gibson. His 1994 novel Tonguing the Zeitgeist was a finalist for the Philip K. Dick Award, and his short stories, essays, poems, and reviews have appeared in hundreds of journals, magazines, and anthologies, including Fiction International, Iowa Review, the Village Voice, and Best American Non-Required Reading. He lives with his wife, assemblage-artist Andi Olsen, in the mountains of central Idaho.
