Torn Space Theater Visiting Artist Series presents

Fitz Patton on Performance and Design

Fitz Patton
Torn Space Theater presents Fitz Patton in a discussion with Dan Shanahan on performance and design. This event is produced in conjunction with They Kill Things and is co-sponsored by Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center.

Fitz Patton is the founder and editor of CHANCE Magazine, a serialized art-book about contemporary theater and design. CHANCE combines uncompromising aesthetic standards with innovative approaches to visualizing and talking about theater. With a professional readership that includes some of the most influential names in producing, design, fashion and theater, CHANCE is a new magazine for a completely new kind of theater artist. Based in New York, CHANCE was founded by designers, dramaturgs and playwrights, and is devoted to finding and documenting innovative work at every level of theater. Fitz Patton is also an award winning sound designer on several Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Mr. Patton most recently received the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Sound Design of a Play for The Other Place.
