A Partial History of the Job Interview
All job seekers and employers endure the job interview as a rite of passage. But how did its framework for a work-related interrogation emerge? This talk will chronicle the development of the job interview and changes in the basic conditions of employment. The talk will be illustrated with clips from the history of narrative and documentary film as well as footage from a documentary-in-progress about job-interview training in Buffalo.
