(Historical note: I learned at Sunday night's Maria Chávez performance, 5/18/25, that Elizabeth Costello is the daughter of writer Anne Costello (1937–2014), who read in Hallwalls' Fiction Diction series [at 30 Essex St.] on September 25, 1979 [from her book Women of Experience] and again at 700 Main St. on November 18, 1982, from her book The Woman Who Wanted It All.
