An exhibition of work by Robert Longo: OBJECT FICTION (a situation of props). Opening reception at Hallwalls on October 6, 1975, 8:30pm. Performance on October 1, 1975 ART IN HEAVEN (FOR RICHARD STANCE) at 9:15pm at AC Gallery [also located in the 30 Essex St., later Big Orbit, now BICA]. Postcard for events and exhibition says: (a stratagem) "THINGS I will regret" / "TEMPTATION to exit" an ongoing work by Robert Longo.
"I was one of the voices on this. One line I recall was 'fuck you, I owe you nothing.' Whatever I was reading back then inspired me to pronounce it ‘fock.’ Robert made me go with ‘fuck.’ Like most of those productions, it was all hands on deck fueled by grant money, weed, beer, and Mighty Taco. I was thrilled to get a writing credit.
"We did another show that winter in the middle of the record blizzard. My contribution was 'Cold sweat. Thin ice. Snow blind. Frost bite,' which we sang sitting at a small table playing cards, a scene of cabin fever. I remember riding around with Pierce Kamke in his van, going into abandoned houses to tear out wood to burn in the fireplace upstairs on Essex St.

"I have a copy of the program—which I painstakingly typeset while the artist gave exacting instructions over my shoulder."
