Director, BT&C Gallery

Anna Kaplan, Director of BT&C Gallery, is former Curatorial Assistant at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and adjunct professor in Daemen College's Visual & Performing Arts Department. Kaplan holds a MA in the History of Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture from the Bard Graduate Center and a BA in Art History and Italian Studies from Brown University.

Kaplan launched BT&C Gallery in 2013, opening in her current location on Niagara St in June of 2014. Since then, Kaplan has curated over a dozen installations. Kaplan is also responsible for Resource: Art, a unique collaboration with Elisabeth Samuels (Indigo Art) and Emily Tucker (Benjaman Gallery Group). Through BT&C and Resource: Art, Kaplan is in the center of the Buffalo arts scene, curating consistent programming at her Niagara Street location and organizing collaborative efforts.

Kaplan is currently involved with helping to organize a solo exhibition of work by John E. Drummer opening at the Burchfield Penney Arts Center in February and running through June 2016. Kaplan is curating a concurrent exhibition of Drummer's work at BT&C which will open in April 2016 as well as a satellite installation at Silo City in June 2016.
