Marvin Heiferman, director of Castelli Graphics, presents a dealer's point of view on collecting contemporary photography; former CEPA director Scott Rucker presents a slide lecture on  contemporary photography.


ARCHIVAL NOTE (8/10/17): "[In 1969] Leo Castelli's second wife, Antoinette Fraissex du Bost, opened Castelli Graphics, an art gallery devoted to the prints and photographs of Castelli Gallery and other artists." Noted curator and author Marvin Heiferman held the position of director of Castelli Graphics 1975–1982. Castelli Graphics closed in 1997.

David Schirm
All The Glad Variety


Though distilled into broad symbolic forms or abstract landscapes, David Schirm's work often springs from his own experiences during the Vietnam War and paintings may allude to the scenes of horrific and senseless battles, the strafing of weapons across a landscape, "whose laser-like blazes of fired bullets gave a distinctive hum of un-worldliness to the darkness."
