PIA ZADORA (LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALLWALLS) FILM FESTIVAL

An entire film festival in one night with audience participation, featuring: SING-A-LONG WITH PIA (including pop standards like THE LADY IS A TRAMP); ONCE IN LOVE WITH PIA (audiences are asked to declare feelings for Pia in any media); screening of the film SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS; a large scale installation by Bonia Z entitled SHRINE (THE VELVET CATHEDRAL OF THE PIA-TA); and a pagan type ritual performance entitled CHURCH OF THE VELVET ZADORA. The festival continues at the CRASH* Club with a celebration of PIA-THE WOMAN.

Tony Conrad @ Hallwalls


Culled from nearly 40 years of Hallwalls' still and video archives (1977–2014), this exhibition will serve as a prelude to Introducing Tony Conrad, the upcoming retrospective at the UB Art Gallery and Albright Knox Art Gallery, by showcasing a selection of performances and still imagery documenting Conrad's decades-long association with Hallwalls.
