Using both found and improvised text, extended voice, movement, music and visual art, the Buffalo Sound Painting Ensemble continues its dialogue with the American subconscious, utopianism, electricity, spoken narrative itself. "Ephemeral mechanics" are those who labor in the trenches of the transient, creating wisps of thought, whispers and screams, battling entropy and constructing reality out of personal epiphanies, psychotic breaks, hallucinations, glossalalia, the voices of gods and ancestors, and ultimately help us to define (or in some cases, refine) our own conception of the chaotic and seemingly orderless reality in which we all float.
