MicroMania Film Fest presents

A Program of Short Experimental Films

How many movies can you watch in one month? MicroMania Film Festival 2022 invites you to break your record during their free and engaging short film screenings throughout the city of Buffalo in September. There's something for every movie lover and every film is 5 minutes long or under.

MicroMania opens in September on the 3rd at the Burchfield Penney Arts Center with the Haudenosaunee Micro-Short Film Program, follows with two family friendly programs at Frank E Merriweather Library on the 10th and BECPL Central Library on the 12th, two outdoor screenings at Five Points Bakery on September 15th & 16th, a program devoted to experimental film at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center on the 23rd, a dance party on the 24th, and a variety of virtual workshops and filmmaker panels rounding out the end of the month. Enjoy delightful local and international short films and learn a little bit about filmmaking.

MicroMania screening events feature two-hour programs showcasing local and international films interspersed with filmmaker Q&As and engaging discussions around visual storytelling and filmmaking. All events are free and open to the public. Visit micromaniafilmfest.com or MicroMania Film Fest on Facebook & Instagram (@MicroManiaFilmFest) and Twitter (@MicroManiaF) for more info. See you at the movies!

Both MicroMania Film Festival 2022 and the Haudenosaunee Micro-Short Film Program are made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Services Inc. Additional discretionary funding for MMFF22 has been provided by Buffalo Common Council President Darius Pridgen and Buffalo Common Council member David Rivera. The Haudenosaunee Micro-Short Film Program is also supported by a Humanities New York Action grant and discretionary funds provided by the office of Buffalo Common Council member Joseph Golombek Jr.
