The Buffalo Improvisers Orchestra brings together a wide range of some of the regions finest musicians, representing a broad spectrum of disciplines, influences & personal styles. The ever-changing collective has performed under the leadership of William Parker, Douglas Ewart, Roswell Rudd, Lawrence D. Butch Morris, Roscoe Mitchell & others as part of HARP (Hallwalls Artists in Residence Project). This unique version of the group will perform two sets of spontaneous composition outside at the beautiful new Buffalo River Fest Park. Join us in an adventurous evening of exploration as this historic amalgam of Buffalo sound enthusiasts come together to create new music in the moment!
This free outdoor concert is made possible with a Buffalo River Programming grant administered by Arts Services Initiative of WNY (ASI/WNY), with funds provided by the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation (ECHDC).
