Over the course of her three-week residency, Fiona Templeton conducts a three-part workshop, for those interested in taking part in a new participant-specific performance piece titled THE HYPOTHETICAL THIRD PERSON, which she will construct as part of her residency. Participants will be written into the work, which will premier in February. Workshops from January 24-Februrary 10, and the performance runs from February 11-February 13.

Laylah Ali
Paintings and Drawings


Laylah Ali's work explores power dynamics and interpersonal conflict through compositions that position culturally, racially and sexually ambiguous figures in precarious, loaded, and unexpectedly humorous situations. Ali uses concise—even minimal—imagery that is specific in rendering and intent. While there are narratives in Ali's work, they are stories whose open spaces often give them the atmosphere of fables.
