Brock Clarke is the author of five books of fiction, including most recently the novels Exley (2010) and An Arsonist's Guide to Writers' Homes in New England. His short fiction and nonfiction have been widely published in a number of magazines, newspapers, and anthologies, and he has received a number of awards, including a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Fellowship in fiction, the Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction, the Emily Balch Prize, a Christopher Isherwood Fellowship, and two Pushcart Prizes. He teaches at Bowdoin College and lives with his family in Portland, Maine.
