Dave Kress

Exhibit X: A Series of Readings in New Fiction

Exhibit X

Dave Kress Dave Kress is the author of two works of fiction: Counting Zero, a novel, and Martians, a creature. A new novel, Glorified-or-Thermometers of God, is forthcoming. He is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Maine-Orono, where he teaches creative writing and contemporary literature.

"Dave Kress's first novel reminds us how intelligent a form the novel can be in the right hands. Counting Zero is a keenly apprehended story, written with articulate zest and a voracious appetite for the things of everyday life seen in consummate detail. Mr. Kress has begun what promises to be a sparkling career as a novelist. Yes, Virginia, there are still some stylists on the Rialto" (Paul West).
