Writing For My Life … Reclaiming the Lost Pieces of Me: A Poetic Journey

Reading & Book Signing

Nancy Levin Nancy Levin first truly explored her deep love of poetry with her brilliant teachers and mentors at Buffalo Seminary, and then later as she received her MFA in Poetics from Naropa University. Her poems have appeared in numerous on-line and print publications. Since 1996, Nancy has worked extensively in the fields of personal growth, health, and spirituality, producing innovative events and experiential conferences. She has been the Event Director at Hay House, Inc., the international leader in self-help and transformational publishing, since 2002 and shared her poems before Keynotes at Hay House's I Can Do It! conferences. Nancy lives in Boulder, Colorado and this is her first book of poetry. Please visit her online at www.nancylevin.com

Writing For My Life "Inside this book you will find the poems that became the stepping stones along my path of love, loss, grief, searching, awakening, freedom, becoming whole, and owning my voice. I offer these poems to you with the hope that they serve as an inspiration and invitation" (Nancy Levin).

"Whether or not you are a poetry lover, you will be so glad you found this book. It's liberating" (Louise Hay, NY Times best-selling author of You Can Heal Your Life).

"I love Nancy's poetry. Her words convey urgent messages from the Soul" (Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, #1 NY Times best-selling author of Excuses Begone).

"Sit back, let these words flow through you, and feel the magic of healing and aliveness contained in the pages of this book" (Cheryl Richardson, NY Times best-selling author of Take Time for Your Life).

"Reading [this book], you will reclaim the lost pieces of yourself. Sensational!" (Debbie Ford, #1 NY Times best-selling author of The Dark Side of the Light Chasers).

"Writing For My Life is a fine treasure that touches the redeeming essence of loss and truth. Simply beautiful" (Christiane Northrup, MD, the NY Times best-selling author of Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom).

"Sometimes entering the soul requires the quiet and reflective language of poetry. Like a prayer, the poet hypnotizes the reader into a trance-like state of stillness where personal realization can surface. This book of poetry contains that type of soul-fire" (Caroline Myss, NY Times best-selling author of Defy Gravity).

"The job of the poet is to feel something deeply, and to make us feel it too. Nancy Levin succeeds wonderfully in opening her heart and allowing all of us to share in its beat" (Marianne Williamson, #1 NY Times best-selling author of A Return to Love).

"Nancy's poetry is powerful and evocative in its authenticity. Each verse brings the reader nearer to an intimate encounter with the vulnerable, evolving self. What a precious glimpse into the inner journey home" (Joan Borysenko, PhD, NY Times best-selling author of Minding the Body, Mending the Mind).

"Evocative and deeply moving, Nancy Levin's poetic works weave their way into the hidden tender recesses of your heart and beckon new life, redemption, forgiveness and understanding. There are few poets who remind me, equally, of the wrenching sadness and the fierce joy of being alive. Her words will leave an indelible mark on your soul" (Colette Baron-Reid, best-selling author of The Map: Finding the Meaning & Magic)

Laylah Ali
Paintings and Drawings

Laylah Ali's work explores power dynamics and interpersonal conflict through compositions that position culturally, racially and sexually ambiguous figures in precarious, loaded, and unexpectedly humorous situations. Ali uses concise—even minimal—imagery that is specific in rendering and intent. While there are narratives in Ali's work, they are stories whose open spaces often give them the atmosphere of fables.
