Yedda Morrison

Poetics Plus/Exhibit X Fiction

Yedda Morrison is the author of several books of poetry, including Darkness (Make Now Press, 2012), Girl Scout Nation (Displaced Press, 2008) and Crop (Kelsey Street Press, 2003). Her work has been included in the anthologies Against Expression (Northwestern University Press), I’ll Drown My Book (Les Figues Press), Bay Poetics (Faux Press) and Kindergarde, Avant-garde Poems, Plays, Stories, and Songs for Children (Black Radish). From 1998-2002 she co-edited Tripwire, A journal of Poetics with poet David Buuck. She is part of the artist/writer’s collaborative The Collective Task ( She has performed and exhibited her work widely and is currently represented by Republic Gallery ( in Vancouver, BC. Yedda lives and works in San Francisco.

David Schirm
All The Glad Variety

Though distilled into broad symbolic forms or abstract landscapes, David Schirm's work often springs from his own experiences during the Vietnam War and paintings may allude to the scenes of horrific and senseless battles, the strafing of weapons across a landscape, "whose laser-like blazes of fired bullets gave a distinctive hum of un-worldliness to the darkness."
