Who's It 716?


Who's It 716? is a "Battle of the Genres" event where 7 POETS, 7 VOCALISTS, and 7 RAPPERS compete within their genre. Each act gets 7 MINUTES to showcase its talents. There are a total of five hand-selected judges who will score their performance on a scale of 1-10. The act with the highest score will be declared the winner of their genre. ONLY ONE WINNER from EACH genre will move to the FINAL ROUND to compete for a cash prize of $150. The final 3 acts will represent their genre and battle each other ONLY having 2 MINUTES to showcase their talents. The final judge is YOU the AUDIENCE. Laylah Ali
Paintings and Drawings


Laylah Ali's work explores power dynamics and interpersonal conflict through compositions that position culturally, racially and sexually ambiguous figures in precarious, loaded, and unexpectedly humorous situations. Ali uses concise—even minimal—imagery that is specific in rendering and intent. While there are narratives in Ali's work, they are stories whose open spaces often give them the atmosphere of fables.
