Hallwalls 2016 Members Exhibition

For its 42nd year, Hallwalls presents its 42nd annual Members Exhibition, an opportunity for any paid member of the organization to submit a work for exhibition. For this 2016 edition, over 140 works were brought into the gallery and include a diverse array of media and approaches—painting, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture, video, printmaking. The exhibition includes work by artists of all ages, from emerging artists through established and senior artists. As with CEPA and Big Orbit, a “members exhibition” is an ideal snapshot of the range of activity going on right now in our fair city.

For the second time, works have been hung in the order received.

For the first time, Hallwalls will be naming select works in a series Non-Binding Exhibition Awards With No Prizes. Meaning that we will draw attention to works that continually intrigued us as we installed the over 140 pieces in the exhibition. While the awards offer no prizes, trophies, ribbons, or compensation, the highlighting of the meritorious is presented in earnest.
