"For 20 years Diane Bush navigated the Buffalo art scene, between 1979 and 1997, sometimes surprising herself with how much returning to Buffalo after a 10-year hiatus could provide in terms of work, grants, awards, and public acclaim for her photography and mixed media works. Then, having snagged one of the smartest and best-dressed guys in town, Diane and Steven Baskin brought you Talking Pictures, Stretched Fax Photos, and DIG-italy computer images seemed magical! Now, immersed in political satire, thanks to the Gulf and the Iraq wars (WARHEADS), Diane is up to her old anti-establishment self, and will be sharing images and tales of what it is like to create your own 10-month-long artist's residency without even realizing it! Your homework will be to go to her Facebook event page called DISHING IT OUT 2016, and read about this ambitious celebration of political satire, free speech, and voter registration. Then come meet the artist, for questions, answers, and inspiration" (Diane Bush).
Diane Bush's presentation is made possible by a grant to the artist from the Nevada Arts Council, an agency of the State of Nevada, supported in part with funds from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
